Do you have an eye for beauty? Are you able to capture the perfect picture of the peonies, irises or maple tree in your backyard? Or are your snapshots blurry and blah? For those with an eye for the perfect pose, the 24th Annual Montgomery Arts Commission Photo Competition is set for Sunday, March 13, 2011 and award-winning photographer, Corson Hirschfeld, will judge the entries and offer insights in capturing the perfect photo.The Photo Exhibit will be held at the Universalist Church from 1-3pm. For those who could use some assistance, Mr. Hirschfeld will discuss the various aspects of creating a pleasing print at a photography workshop slated for Saturday, March 12, 2011 from 1-4:30pm at Swaim Lodge.
New this year to the contest is the category of “Montgomery Parks”. A “General” category is also available, but only a maximum of three photos may be entered for the competition.
• Beginner, experienced or non-Montgomery resident photographers are encouraged to enter.
• Entries are due to the Montgomery City Hall, 10101 Montgomery Road, by Tuesday, March 1, 2011.
• A Non-refundable entry fee of $5.00 for students or $10.00 for adults is required per picture.
• Cash or checks payable to the City of Montgomery are acceptable forms of payment.
