Professor Michele Kegley, center, is a program director for the Applied Administration bachelor’s degree.

Anyone interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the Applied Administration program at the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College can learn more by attending one of two free information sessions that are open to the public. They will be held on the UC Blue Ash campus on Tuesday, March 28 with the first from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. in Muntz Hall, Room 117 and an evening session from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. in Walters Hall, Room 100.

The information sessions will feature an overview from professors in the program, insight about skills learned from recent graduates, and details about the enrollment process from admissions officers. Free pizza will be provided.

The Bachelor’s in Technical and Applied Studies, also referred to as Applied Administration, is designed for anyone with an associate degree (AAB, AAS, or ATS) in an applied or technical field who wants to advance their education. In most cases, all credits from the associate degree should transfer, allowing students to enroll as a junior with the opportunity to complete their bachelor’s degree in as little as two years. Many of the courses offer hybrid options that combine online learning with in-person classes.

“This bachelor’s degree program helps our students who have very strong applied or technical skills learn soft skills such as strategic planning, leadership and communication,” says Michele Kegley, business professor and program director for Applied Administration. “Many of our graduates are able to move into supervisory roles in their field and some choose to keep going and pursue their master’s in business administration.”

Studies by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics show that a person with a bachelor’s degree earns about 30% more money than they would with an associate degree.

The information sessions are free, but seating is limited. To register for one of the Applied Administration information sessions, go to
