MontFoodshare logo- websiteMontgomery Food Share contributed 5,020 pounds, or the equivalent of 4,183.3 meals, pounds of non-perishable food and personal care items on June 6th to the Free Store Foodbank. The Hartford Hill neighborhood has joined the effort, which means over half of the neighborhoods in Montgomery are now helping food insecure individuals in Hamilton County.  Currently, the following neighborhoods collect and deliver bags of food to be collected by Free Store Foodbank: Ferris Williams, Governor’s Watch, Montgomery Woods, The Winds, Storybook Acres, Stone Meadow, Montgomery Heights, The Reserve of Montgomery, Terwilliger’s Run, Hartford Hill, Forestglen, Ivygate, Swaim Field, and Shadowhill Acres.

New participants can seek out more informatio  about joining this non-profit organization by emailing the Food Share coordinator, Wendy New, at .  Montgomery Food Share is on FaceBook as well.  They are always in need of volunteers to help with pick up on the first Saturday of even numbered months, or a to act as neighborhood captains.
