On Saturday, April 1, 2017, Montgomery Food Share collected 5,456 pounds of food or personal care items, from over 21 neighborhoods in Sycamore Township, Blue Ash, Symmes Township and Montgomery, for food-insecure individuals or families in Hamilton County. This equals 4,564.6 meals.
Montgomery Food Share is up about 250 pounds over February’s total and only 3,660 pounds away from reaching 100,000 pounds by Montgomery Food Share’s fourth anniversary in June. What a milestone that will be!
Montgomery Food Share is asking donors to be generous when they fill their reusable bags over the next two months, getting ready for the June 3 pick-up date.
More pick-up drivers are needed to keep Montgomery Food Share going. If you are available the first Saturday of even-numbered months to help out, please send an email at this link.
Have you heard? Sycamore High School will now be the collection point for sorting food donations before they are picked up by Freestore FoodBank. Donors have been so generous that Computer Xpress could no longer support the donations. Sycamore Community Schools is proud to partner on this effort.
