You don’t have to speak French to enjoy the free movies that will be featured in The Tournées Festival: New French Films on Campus, hosted by the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College.
The festival will run from October 6 – November 17, 2016 and will screen a new French film on Thursday nights at 7:00 p.m. Each will be shown in Muntz Hall Auditorium on the UC Blue Ash campus and will include English subtitles. The movies are free and open to the public. Please note that some films contain adult content and may not be suitable for all viewers.
This is the second year that the college has hosted The Tournées French Film Festival in the Cincinnati area. After such a positive response last year, the French American Cultural Exchange (FACE), in partnership with the French Embassy awarded UC Blue Ash College another grant to bring a new set of contemporary French films back to campus.
“This is a great opportunity for students, faculty, staff and members of the community to experience authentic new French and Francophone films that may not otherwise be screened in local theaters,” says Jody Ballah, associate professor of French at UC Blue Ash, who secured the grant to support the film festival. “The movies will feature an assortment of different genres, themes and styles.”
Each film will be followed by a post-screening discussion led by faculty members from UC Blue Ash, the University of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky University.
