On August 23, four volunteers from Montgomery Food Share met with Kurt Reiber, President and CEO of the FreeStore Foodbank, at their downtown facility. During this lunch, Mr. Reiber praised the efforts of Montgomery Food Share to help food-insecure individuals in Hamilton County. He also announced that Montgomery Food Share is the third largest food drive donor in their 20 county region! Montgomery Food Share can only grow with the participation of all Montgomery households. Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or go to this page to sign up as a food donor. Households will receive a reusable grocery tote so that they can start filling it with nonperishable food and personal care items to be picked up on the next October 1 pick up date. No glass bottle please. Montgomery Food Share has 18 neighborhood networks and growing.
The August 6 pick up date netted 4, 227 pounds of nonperishable food items and personal care items. This translates into 3,523 meals.
The next pick up date is Saturday, October 1.
